Speak God’s Words Over Your Life

How we speak to others is important. Words can damage or words can bring healing. We should be aware of every word we speak, and the consequences of speaking that word. James 3:5-10 warns us how evil our words can be. James compares the tongue to something that is evil and “full of deadly poison”. Not only is it important what we say to others, but it is also very important how we speak about ourselves. If we are continually complaining about our lives with words like “Nothing ever works out for me” or “Everyone else is sick at work, so now I’ll be getting sick, too”, then those words are what you can expect to come to pass in your life. Your angels are waiting on your words. Hebrews 1:14 tells us, “Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service (of God for the assistance) of those who are to inherit salvation?” If you have asked Jesus into your heart, you are an heir of salvation. This verse is about you. Psalm 103:20 says, “Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, you His angels, you mighty ones who do His commandments, hearkening to the voice of His word”. Your angels are waiting on your words. When they hear you say, “I’m catching a cold”, they must look at each other and say, “Why would he/she want to do that?” Your angels will follow the words you say, so make sure you are saying God’s words over your life and over the lives of those around you. If you say what God says about your life, His words always come to pass. A friend of mine suggested a prayer book for me to use. I ordered this book, and I am so glad I did. The best way to pray over a situation is to pray God’s words over the situation. The book is called “Praying with Fire” by Barbara Billett. I encourage you to get this book and then start using it. Insert your name or the names of your family members and friends into the scriptures she provides and begin praying the Word of God over your situation.

I talk about the importance of your words in my book, “Three Doctors: Molding & Developing Exceptional Children”. As parents, we have a great responsibility to speak gracious, loving, encouraging, healing words over our children. The lives of our babies will be so wonderful when this blessing is given into their lives.

If you have had a chance to read my book, please leave a comment for me. I would love to hear from you, and your comments will help to encourage others to read the book as well. I pray the words you speak are God’s words!
