Bio
Roxanne grew up in Cabri, Saskatchewan, Canada, the second of four children. Her father farmed near Cabri, Saskatchewan, and her mother stayed at home and raised her children. Roxanne received her elementary and high school education in Cabri and then attended the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to obtain her Bachelor of Education Degree with an English major. Roxanne married Robert Frost (no relation to the poet), and they now reside in Regina, Saskatchewan, where Robert is a geologist and drills oil wells, while Roxanne homeschooled their four children. One of their children is now in law, while the other three have chosen careers in medicine.
Roxanne accepted Christ as her Savior when she was four, and she has tried to live to serve Him all her life. To learn more of God and His ways, she completed Jerry Savelle’s Two-Year Bible School program. Roxanne loves to write stories that show how to keep God in your daily life, and her prayer is that her stories will encourage others to do just that. As her books show, she has been raised with a Godly heritage, which she feels is a very important part of her life. She prays she has passed this on to her children.
Roxanne enjoys spending time with her family, and their favorite time together is the time they spend out on their boat in the summers wakesurfing. Roxanne admits that her attempts at this sport usually end up with Joshua calling from the boat, “Mom, drop the rope!” She is not sure that’s going to happen, but he is a good teacher so you never know. She will have to keep you posted on her wakesurfing progress.
Roxanne loves to stay busy. She finds she is always pushing herself on to the next project. She loves anything with sparkle in it- clothes or even nail polish. She inherited her mother’s cooking ability, but she does not enjoy it so she tries not to practice that more than she has to. Roxanne would rather be outside playing ball or tennis or street hockey with her children. She also inherited her mother’s neatness, although she made sure to put the needs of her children above her need for a clean house.
Roxanne will be communicating with all of you in a weekly blog. She would love to share with you what God reveals to her heart, and she would enjoy hearing what you are learning as well. Please also let her know how you are doing raising up your children and grandchildren. Roxanne would love to pray with you for your children. God has great plans for every one of us!
Roxanne’s favorite Bible verses are Ephesians 3:19B, 20 which say,
that you may be filled (through all your being) unto all the fullness of God (may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself)! Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the (action of His) power that is at work within us, is able to (carry out His purpose and) do super-abundantly, far over and above all that we (dare) ask or think (infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams).
