I Would Like to Pray for You!
Prayer should be such an important part of our daily lives. Prayer is one way we can communicate with God. The Bible instructs us to pray for each other in I Timothy 2:1. “First of all, then, I admonish and urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be offered on behalf of all men.” Intercession is saying a prayer on behalf of another person. I would like to ask you to start sending me your prayer requests, and then I would like to intercede for you and pray for you. If you are praying over a situation in your life, and I add my faith and prayers to yours, Matthew 18:19 says, “Again I tell you, if two of you on earth agree about whatever (anything and everything) they may ask, it will come to pass and be done for them by My Father in heaven.” So I believe it’s very important that we pray for each other. Jesse Duplantis says that he tells people that he will be their two. In this he means that he will be their partner in prayer, believing with them for their requests to be fulfilled. I will be your two.
We cannot, however, be living any old way we want, and then expect God to answer every request we come up with. God knows what we need and what we desire. However, just as you as a parent would never give your car keys to your ten year old child just because they have a great desire to drive your car, so God will never give you something that He knows is ultimately going to do you great harm. Sometimes He, too, has to say “no” to us.
John 15:7 tells us, “If you live in Me (abide vitally united to Me) and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.” If we are doing our best to serve God and walk in His ways, we can truly expect Him to grant our heart’s desire. If we are off living just like the world lives all week, and then showing up to church for an hour on Sunday morning and thinking all is good with God, this is not going to work.
We also have to believe that God hears us when we pray, and we have to believe that He will answer us. Matthew 21:20 says, “And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and (really) believing, you will receive.” You can’t say, “Well, we can try and pray, I guess. It can’t hurt to try.” That’s not going to work. You will not receive anything from God with that kind of unbelief.
The last part of James 4:2 says, “You do not have because you do not ask.” I’ve heard it said, “It must be serious if we are going to pray about it!” This should not be the case. We should pray immediately when a problem presents itself. Pray should be our first line of defence!
I really like to actually pray in person with people, but I know that is not really an option in this setting. So what I would like to do is to have you send me your prayer requests, and I will print them out. Then I can take them and actually lay hands on them and pray over them. Once you have prayed and I have prayed, then we thank God every day for the answer until we see a manifestation of what we desire. I am excited to see what God will do as we obey Him. To send me your prayer request, you can use the comments section of this blog. If you have a request that you would prefer to keep private, you can also email it to me at: r.pawlukfrost@gmail.com. You can also just say that you have an unspoken request. God knows your heart, and He will know what we are praying about even if we do not have all the details.
Let’s pray together and use this mighty weapon God has given to us. I want to see you receive your heart’s desire now. I want you to have an amazing testimony of what God has done in your life. Let’s pray and accomplish much!
